My wife has a sweet land yacht Sienna. Me, being a genius, had a trailer hitch receiver put on the back. Because we might need to haul stuff. Ummm, ok, the real reason is to buy a little platform to take the Vespa when we travel in the van. I have sweet dreams of cruising around Oakland when we go to visit the in-laws instead of listening to my wife’s sister screeching about some bullshit while her 30 year old nephew hangs with his 18 year old baby mama.... oops, different story.

The receiver hitch scrapes on driveways and other low-end obstacles. Forgive me, but dat ass needs a bit of a lift. Any advice on how to approach this? My preferred solution has been vetoed:

my vote is to ride the vespa to the inlaws.

if it aint fast enough, MOTOR SWAP TIME. BIG BORE KIT. 300 CC 2-STROKE (which, btw, are actually SHOCKINGLY fast for a friggen little vespa...)

Im tempted to get some J coils and these as a replacement for the progressive coils in the back of the cruiser. The progressive stuff sucks for heavy touring.

I’ve had a riderite on my list since we started trailering.. would’ve done it last spring but wanted to give it a shot with the TSB recall new leafpack.

Look into the suspension mods that mobility companies perform when converting the Sienna into a wheelchair can. Certainly if they can jack the rear up that high there’s a way to jack it up less.
